Position Overview
Massey Equine Veterinary Clinic (EVC) has a 12 month, fixed-term position available for a Stablehand to cover the maternity leave for one of our valued staff members. This role is part-time at 25 hours per week and involves working five hours per morning, Monday to Friday.

The role focuses on the care, feeding, and cleaning of hospitalised patients' stalls, yards, and hospital facilities. Check out our facilities here.
Key responsibilities include:
Ko koe tēnei | About you
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication and animal handling skills including the ability to work safely around horses of various temperaments. Previous experience in cleaning stables is preferred but not crucial if you have an eye for detail and are a quick learner.
We also have casual positions available during the week and weekends (both day and night shifts). If you are interested in joining our casual team, please indicate your availability in your application.

- maintaining a hygienic hospital, including cleaning stalls, yards, and hospital facilities
- assisting with the routine care of patients
- holding and restraining patients for medical treatments
- and ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of animals at all times.
